The Hex Weaver’s Journey
Where the Story Begins
I’m Sierra — the Hex Weaver behind The Frizz Knits — a fiber witch tangled in yarn, familiars, moonlight, and more half-finished projects than I’ll ever publicly confess. This whole venture didn’t start as a business. It began as a chaotic challenge with my son: Who could knit the most hats?
Armed with YouTube tutorials and an AuDHD sense of timelessness, I picked up my first needles. Somewhere between the failed swatches and the small triumphs, something shifted. Knitting became ritual — a grounding spell that helped me stitch myself back together after life frayed me one too many times. From that messy, magical beginning, The Frizz Knits was born.
How the Name Found Me
Long before fiber art took over my life, I was known as Miss Frizzle — wild red curls, chaotic energy, and mischief baked into every day. When it came time to name my craft, the universe practically handed it to me. Frizzle became Frizz, and my fiber witchery found its home.
But this grimoire is built by two witches, not one. My partner manages the bones and backend while I conjure the chaos. Two energies, one living spell.
Crafted With Intention
Every stitch is spellwork. A charm for comfort. A ward for warmth. A tiny rebellion against unraveling.
Handmade, always. No machines. No factories. No mass production — just slow, intentional craft, imperfections and all.
Accessible by intent. Handmade magic should feel accessible — not exclusive.
Crafted for every body. From child sizes to adaptive designs like the Wheelwarden Pack, inclusivity isn’t a footnote — it’s a foundation.
Familiars, Moonroot & Why I Weave
Most of my fiber rituals unfold beneath the watch of my familiars — especially my black cat, Sombra, reigning from his blanket throne. Inspiration drifts in from the forest, the moon, and the wild liminal places where chaos and creation intertwine.
I’ve always resonated with the Moonroot Witch archetype — grounded in quiet, shaped by shadow, weaving light through dark cycles the way the moon always has.
I didn’t arrive at knitting from peace; I arrived from survival. Knitting became my tether — soothing, repetitive, grounding, and deeply mine. Now, every hat, pouch, wrap, or Boo carries a bit of that alchemy — comfort, protection, warmth, or simply joy.
When you bring home a piece from The Frizz Knits, you’re not just buying knitwear. You’re claiming a spell, handcrafted and woven with intention.
